Bulwer rd, Glenwood – Sewer Pipe

Location:
Bulwer rd, Glenwood, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.

Situation:
The client complained of continuous sewer blockages on the main 110mm Clay/PVC line that runs under paving 2.5 meters deep at the pool area. Ganga Plumbers, a new flow licensee, was called and camera surveyed the line. They identified three large breaks on the line, one of which the pipe was dismembered causing the continuous blockage. This pipe is a clay pipe and has multiple PVC joins. All of the clay pipe was badly cracked causing continual blockages.

The client had two options:
– DIG UP THE POOL AREA AND REPLACE THE PIPE
INTERFERING WITH THE BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPE.
– RE-LINE THE PIPE IN PLACE USING AN EPOXY LINER
LEAVING THE BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPE INTACT.

Solution:
Re-linin was the logical choice due to the cost and inconvenience of replacing the pipe. Ganga Plumbers, a new flow licensee, first cleaned the 110mm clay/PVC sewer line using a high pressure jetting unit. Ganga Plumbers re-surveyed the line to identify the exact problem areas. They then used a pull-in-place structural liner to re-line the pipe. The dismembered pipe was linked using the epoxy liner and created one continuous pipe.

Ganga Plumbers left the landscape intact.
No Damage to structures, No Digging, No mess!
The end result is a “Nu Pipe” within the old pipe.
