LEARN TO RELINE
Under the guidance of our German and American partners Nu flow South Africa developed Master Classes for council engineers/maintenance teams, water authorities, pipeline contractors and a host of others looking for the latest techniques to manage ageing pipe infrastructure.
Our goal is to develop Pipelining Professionals through every phase of development. From Apprentice to Journeyman to Master. These courses are based on the Australian TAFE Standards.
Delegates will be exposed to ambient, water, steam and UV Curing.
These training programs run in conjunction with all international standards and require all installers to use Nu Flow products to complete the courses.

Class fee per class per person, discounts offered per class if two or more classes are taken by the same person or two or more attendees from the same company at the same time. Failure to cancel within 5 business days of any particular training will result in a 50% charge for said training against your account.
Prerequisite: Minimum 90 days.
By the end of this course, the participant will be knowledgeable of drainage systems and the skills needed to be an Apprentice Lining Tradesman. They will be taught how to properly identify, dis-assemble and re-assemble Cast Iron, PVC, HDPE, Galvanized, Copper and Earthenware. They will learn the different tools of the plumbing and Nu Drain lining trades. How to properly protect the work area and themselves. Make repair-ready access in buildings and outside manholes. Learn the basics of cleaning, measuring, building and installing DN 50mm, 75mm, 100mm and 150mm pipes.
Prerequisite: Minimum 90 days.
By the end of this course, the participant will be knowledgeable of how to properly diagnose a drainage system in preparation for Nu Drain installation. Proper CCTV techniques, narration, line locating and tracing will be discussed. In addition, the participant will learn how to use a multiple bladder to leak check pressurized pipe (i.e. vacuum lines, pools) joints, potable testing, Wincan reporting and connections.
Prerequisite: Been on Nu Drain installations totalling 244 linear meters; or supervisor recommendation.
This class will help the installer understand the intricacies of the Nu Drain product and the variables which can be adapted in order to successfully line mechanical systems of all makes. Product variables, various resins, hot and cold weather applications, water infiltration, channel rotting, handling connections via gapping and reinstating, accelerated curing mechanisms, reforming collapsed or wrinkled lines, handling small diameter, cleaning, measuring, and manipulating product the right way for the installation will be learned. Micro-cutter, Nu Cure and Heat Assist will be used.
Prerequisite: Been on Nu Drain installations totalling 244 linear meters; Crew Foreman, Project Manager, Estimator, Salesman, Account Manager or supervisor recommendation.
This class will help the participant learn the basics of plan reading, breaking down a system for installation and the necessary reporting for team members and customer.
Prerequisite: Completed Journeyman; Crew Foreman, Project Manager, Estimator, Salesman, Account Manager or supervisor recommendation.
The participant will learn how to evaluate and breakdown potential jobs for mobilization and estimating of both the Nu Line and the Nu Drain technologies. Course will encompass gaging the proper crew size, duration of job, mobilization, equipment rental costs, shipping, per diem, travel and accommodations, and miscellaneous aspects of estimating and implementing our technology. Utilize excel worksheets to produce costing and estimates. Brief overview of Quotesoft take-off software will be shared.
Prerequisite: Journeyman; Crew Foreman, Project Manager; supervisor recommendation.
The participants will learn the proper method of build and installation for the various sizes of connection liners. Both vertical and horizontal applications, as well as, upstream and downstream installation will be learned. Curing will be performed with Heat Assist. Journeyman Advanced Tradesman Course is recommended prior to attending this class.
Prerequisite: Journeyman, Crew Foreman, Project Manager, Supervisor recommendation.
The participant will learn when and how to utilize flow through and pump and bypass in conjunction with small diameter pipe lining. The participant will learn how
to install Nu Drain large diameter (12” and above) for point and sectional repairs, as well as, the proper use of double or triple layer felt.
Prerequisite: All Nu Drain Courses. This course is offered prior to the Nu Drain Master Test (1-day test both written and practical).
This course will be an overview of the Nu Drain technology and will be both written and practical.
