General Electric – Damaged PVC Pipe

Location:
Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa

Situation:
General Electric had a 110mm PVC pipe that was badly damaged and had a whole section missing

The pipe runs beneath a floor slab under a massive set of steel filing cabinets.

In order to replace the pipe, the filing cabinets would need to be moved, the floor slab chopped open and the pipe replaced resulting in weeks of work, mess, noise and damage to the building.

General Electric turned to Nu Flow instead.

Solution:
Nu Flow South Africa re-lined the pipe with a pull-in-place structural liner working from existing access points with out having to move the huge filing cabinets and chop through the floor slabs.

The job took Nu Flow a fraction of the time that replacing the pipes would have taken.
