Nu Flow relined Normandie, 97 Kerk Straat, Johannedburg CBD

Site:
Normandie, 97 Kerk Straat, Johannedburg CBD

Situation:
The 7 story building was experiencing water damage every time it rained from two corroded cast iron 110mm stormwater stacks.

Circumvention:
A pipe replacement was not an option because the pipes run within the buildings structural columns. The only options were to reroute the pipe or reline. The building owners chose to reline.

Solution:

Upon arrival on site, Nu Flow camera inspected and cleaned the 5 down pipes. Once the pipes were cleaned, Nu Flow relined the 2 down pipes using Nu Flow’s structural lining technology

An epoxy saturated liner was pulled into each pipe. Within the liner is a rubber bladder which is inflated when the liner is in position.

The bladder is left inflated until the epoxy has cured. Once the epoxy has cured, the bladder is removed leaving behind a ‘nu pipe’ within the host pipe. The relining was done working from the fullbores on top of the roof and the gutter outlet at the bottom of the pipe outside the building thereby causing absolutely no damage or disruption to the building.

No damage to structures, no mess, no disturbance!
The end result is a new pipe with in the original pipe.
