Relining pipes at Northmead Square Shopping Centre

Site:
Northmead Square Shopping Centre

Situation:

A 160mm sewer pipe was leaking and causing a terrible smell in the Jack’s Paint store at the Shopping Centre. A CCTV camera inspection revealed that the pipe was broken on a junction.

The junction is under the Jack’s Paint store making a pipe replacement a non-suitable solution. Northmead Square Centre Management turned to Nu Flow for a non-invasive solution.

Solution:
Upon arrival on site, Nu Flow cleaned the sewer pipes under the Jack’s Pain store using high pressure jetting. Once the pipes were cleaned, Nu Flow relined the junction using Nu Flow’s structural lining technology.

An epoxy saturated liner was pulled into the pipe. Within the liner is a rubber bladder which is inflated when the liner is in position.
The bladder is left inflated until the epoxy has cured. Once the epoxy has cured, the bladder is removed leaving behind a ‘nu pipe’ within the host pipe. The relining was done working from the inspection eyes on the pipe line thereby causing absolutely no disruption and damage to the store.
