Relining pipes at Pupkewitz Toyota Showroom, Namibia

Site:
Pupkewitz Toyota Showroom, Namibia

Problem:
Pupkewitz Toyota was experiencing water damage every time it rained due to leaking down pipes in the building.

The 110mm PVC pipes run from the roof gutters to ground floor and are incased in the showrooms structural columns. As a result a pipe replacement was not possible. The only other solution was to reroute the pipes.
Pupkewitz Toyota turned to Nu Flow For a better solution.

Solution:
Upon arrival on site, Nu Flow camera inspected and cleaned the 5 down pipes. Once the pipes were cleaned, Nu Flow relined them using Nu Flow’s structural lining technology.
Epoxy saturated liners were pulled into the pipe. Within the liners is a rubber bladder which is inflated when the liners are in position.

The bladder is left inflated until the epoxy has cured. Once the epoxy has cured, the bladder is removed leaving behind a ‘nu pipe’ within the host pipe. The relining was done working from the fullbores on top of the roof and the gutter outlet at the bottom of the pipe outside the building thereby causing absolutely no disruption and damage to the showroom.
