Nu Flow relined Spectrum Textiles
Site:
Spectrum Textiles, Durban
Problem:
Nu Flow were called to investigate a 110mm sewer line at Spectrum Textiles which was constantly blocking. A camera inspection revealed that the pipe was broken in sections.
Spectrum Textiles could not easily repair the pipe by means of a traditional pipe replacement as the pipe is 2 meters deep and runs under the epoxy coated factory floor in which a lot of heavy machinery is in operation.
The company did not want any downtime for the factory during a pipe repair. They turned to Nu Flow for a non disruptive solution.
Solution:
Nu Flow relined the 16 meter section of damaged pipe running under the factory working from 2 manholes outside the building thereby causing absolutely no disruptions or damage to the factories day to day operations.
How it works:
An epoxy saturated liner is inserted into the pipe from one manhole and pulled into position from the other.
Within the liner is an inflatable bladder.
When the liner is in the correct position the bladder is inflated and left inflated until the epoxy has cured.
Once the epoxy has hardened the bladder is removed leaving behind a “nu pipe” within the host pipe.
NO chopping open!
NO damage!
NO mess!
