New pipes for The Club

Customer:
The Club Shopping Centre, Pretoria, Gauteng

Site:
The Club is an upmarket shopping centre situated in Hazelwood Pretoria

System:
The 200mm HDPE storm-water drain running beneath the parking entrance was leaking.

Problem:
The leaking drain could not easily be replaced because of its location under the concrete slab and its close proximity to the shopping centre’s power transformers. The cost of replacement and the associated disruption was not acceptable to property management.

Solution:
After a CCTV inspection of the system the pipe was cleaned of any debris to prepare for lining. Using existing access points Nu Flow technicians were able to pull a new section of epoxy saturated structural liner into position. The bladder inside the liner was inflated and the pipe allowed to cure in place inside the pipe. The bladder was then removed leaving a completely new pipe inside the old.
