New pipes for Toyota
Site:
Toyota
Problem:
Toyota was experiencing problems with 6 down pipes which were leaking every time it rained.
Toyota called Nu Flow to CCTV inspect the 6 down pipes and determine what was causing the leakage.
The CCTV camera inspection revealed that there was a gap in the top joints of all 6 pipes and that there was a bolt sticking through the one pipe. The pipes run inside the showrooms structural columns making it impossible to replace the pipes. The only remedial options were to either reroute the pipes to outside the building, of reline them.
Solution:
Toyota opted to have the leaking sections of the 6 downpipes relined using structural liners.
The liners were inserted from the box gutters on the roof of the building thereby causing no disruptions to the dealerships day to day operations.
How it works:
An epoxy saturated liner is inserted into the pipe. Within the liner is an inflatable bladder.
When the liner is in the correct position the bladder is inflated and left inflated until the epoxy has cured.
Once the epoxy has hardened the bladder is removed leaving behind a “nu pipe” within the host pipe.
NO chopping open!
NO damage!
NO mess!
